Focus on abundance Choose to let your troubles remind you of your blessings. Challenge yourself to focus your attention on the positive influences and possibilities in your life. No matter how difficult the situation, that difficulty will always be outweighed by the goodness to which you are connected. Each and every good thing in your life that you call to mind will help to melt away the anxiety and strengthen your sense of peaceful purpose. When troubles come along, respond by making a mental list of the good things in your life. You'll quickly realize that they are far too numerous to ever completely count. Turn your attention to the things of real value with which you are blessed. It will illuminate new possibilities and inject positive energy into your efforts. Thinking of one thing for which you can be thankful leads you right to another, and another, and yet another. That kind of thinking will point you out of the darkness and into the light. Focus on the real abundance in your life. And your loving attention will make that abundance grow. - Ralph Marston

| MAKING CHOICES IS YOUR GREATEST POWER
You can decide to alter the course of your life at any time.
No one can ever take that away from you. You can do what you want to do and be who you want to be.
Nature is constantly at work around you.
Character and destiny are her handiwork.
She gives you love and hate, jealousy and reverence.
You have the power to choose which impulse you follow.
While your character is formed by your circumstances, your desires can shape those circumstances.
The one thing over which you have absolute control is your own thoughts. It is this that puts you in a position to control your own destiny.
Your greatest power is the power to choose.

| Free to choose You do not have to keep making the same mistakes. You can choose to change. You do not have to keep being held back by the same fears and insecurities. You have the ability to move forward if you wish. There is no good reason why you must settle for anything less than the very best that life has to offer. Anything is possible when you put your full commitment and the energy of your life into it. The past has brought you to where you are, yet it has no power to hold you back. In each moment, you are free to choose your own direction. Reach within yourself and connect with a guiding purpose that you know is right for you. Allow yourself to fully be the unique and beautiful person you are meant to be. This day, this moment is a blank canvas upon which you are now able to paint. Fill it with the magnificent splendor that you know is yours to give. -- Ralph Marston | |

"Between stimulus and response, there is a space. In that space lies our freedom and power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and freedom."

........................................................................................................................................ Change Begins With Choice Any day we wish; we can discipline ourselves to change it all. Any day we wish; we can open the book that will open our mind to new knowledge. Any day we wish; we can start a new activity. Any day we wish; we can start the process of life change. We can do it immediately, or next week, or next month, or next year. We can also do nothing. We can pretend rather than perform. And if the idea of having to change ourselves makes us uncomfortable. We can remain as we are. We can choose rest over labor, entertainment over education, delusion over truth, and doubt over confidence. The choices are ours to make. But while we curse the effect, we continue to nourish the cause. As Shakespeare uniquely observed, "The fault is not in the stars, but in ourselves." We created our circumstances by our past choices We have both the ability and the responsibility to make betterchoices beginning today. Those who are in search of the good life do not need more answers or more time to think things over to reach better conclusions. They need the truth. They need the whole truth. And they need nothing but the truth. We cannot allow our errors in judgment, repeated every day, to lead us down the wrong path. We must keep coming back to those basics that make the biggest difference in how our life works out. And then we must make the very choices that will bring life, happiness and joy into our daily lives. And if I may be so bold to offer my last piece of advice for someone seeking and needing to make changes in their life. If you do not like how things are, change it ! You are not a tree. You have the ability to totally transform every area in your life and it all begins with your very own power of choice.

| We need to teach the next generation of children from Day One that they are responsible for their lives. Mankind's greatest gift, also its greatest curse, is that we have free choice. We can make our choices built from love or from fear. | |
