I've tried to listen to God explain

why babies are called home

It crushes a momma, a daddy and

it hurts family and friends

 

It leaves a scar on their heart as

they take the blame for their loss

They feel that God has punished

them for a sin they committed

 

I feel such sadness because God does

not punish us in such a hurtful way

There is always forgiveness he promised

if we ask for his forgiveness

 

I know that God had the wisdom to

see my child's future

To disease or accident perhaps, and he

knew that he called them home

 

I know heaven is full of sleeping angel's

waiting for for us to come home too

Who is to say that as I look towards

heaven, the twinkling lights are stars?
