Blessing and Cleansing your Home

Often, when moving into a new home, our excitement takes over.  It isn’t until we begin to settle into the space that we notice shifts in energy.  It is important to remember that the energy of previous tenants, and their friends and families,  remain even though they have moved on.  In most cases, you usually do not know what’s happened within the home. 

 Take a moment to recall a time when you went to another’s home and the energy just didn’t feel right, or you felt uncomfortable or unwell. This can be from negative energy within the home.

You may move into a home and find that for reasons beyond you members of the household start arguing, feel unhappy or ill, unsettled and uncomfortable, or just plain out of sorts. This can be caused by negative energy within your home and surroundings. If this energy stays within your home you can end up taking it aboard and over time it will become harder and harder to remove yourself from it.

By doing a simple cleansing and blessing of your surroundings you can easy replace your home with your own positive and happy energy. Remember this is YOUR home and you are the one to guide the energies you would like there. By remaining positive and happy and loving so does the energy around you. Whether you are about to move into a new home, or would just like to bless and cleanse your surroundings due to recent stress or negative energies that have been around you, this simple exercise will help.

Within your home you create the way it looks and feels by doing a few simple things. You may like to add a little colour through accessories. You may like to place some flowers on the table, burn some oil or incense, or play your favorite music. All these things and more make your home a place of love and light, peace and harmony, and above all else, add positive energy. You are the creator, so create your own safe space within your home. Make it YOUR own.

Remember before blessing and cleansing your home to ask for protection. Ensure that you are not under the influence of anything that may leave you open to negative energy and that you are in a loving positive frame of mind. You need to be of positive mind and in control of all actions while doing this.

Follow these simple steps to bless and cleanse your surroundings.

First: boil some water and allow it to cool. Place the boiled water in a clear glass bowl, which allows love and light to flow.

Say a prayer over the water; if you are a healer allow healing energy to flow into the water. If you practice Reiki, or a similar technique, draw your symbols which you are attuned to over the water and feel them being guided into the water. You can say the Lord’s prayer or you may choose to use your own words.

You may ask God/creator to bless this water.

Ask for the water to be filled with the Holy Spirit and with white light and pure universal energy to use the water to help assist you in blessing and cleansing your home.

Ask that God/Creator bless your home with loving pure white light and protect all within your home.  Ask that they be kept safe from all harm within this loving home.

Ask God/Creator to remove all negative energy and replace it with the positive and loving energies of the light.

Amen.

Next open all doors and windows through out the home/area you are wanting to Cleanse and Bless so that all negitive energy has a exit. Now go to the end of your home working your way up. You may also carry a bible with you. This can be done alone but can be easier to do with others. One may be able to carry the bible while another the blessed water. This can be fun.  Remember that smiling and laughter are positive energies you are placing into your home.

Place your fingertips into the bowl and flick around the room going into all the dark corners. Say a prayer as you flick the water around each room.

Ask for the protection of Creator/God, and to bless and cleanse your home. Ask to bless your home with Love and Light and positive energy, to remove all negativity from your home and to be replaced with your own positive and loving energy. Ask that all that enter your home be safe and protected with the loving positive energy of the light.

Use these words as a guideline, you may say what makes you feel most comfortable. The power of prayer through faith can move mountains. Remember when you use your thoughts in a positive way you give those thoughts positive power.

Flick the negative energy out of each room as you work your way through the house. Have the main door open throughout this so all negative energy is finally removed completely from your home and replaced with your loving positive energy.

Then do the same thing around the outside of your home reinforcing this through prayer and positive thought.

Remember you are the Creator and Designer of your own personal web of life. Always work for this to be a loving and happy space that you live within by placing positive and loving thoughts in your surroundings.

Whenever you feel the energy around you as negative do this simple exercise to change them so your surroundings remain happy and joyous and loving.
