Horse
Horses are lean and strong four legged animals whose origins date back over 5,000 years in a place called Mongolia. In the beginning horses ran free in their herds much like some do now where nature supports their freedom. Some say they were brought to the Americas by the Spanish and turned loose to freely roam America's plains and canyons to graze on grasslands. They soon became the companions and champions of man helping man travel long distances to hunt for food. The varieties have been bred for centuries as riding, show, race and workhorses. They have been a humble servant of humans often carrying a heavy load in human evolution, as when they were expected to carry soldiers into war.
