Kangaroo

Most people would be amazed to know that there are 56 species of Kangaroo. Some are small like the Wallaby and others are large like the Grey Kangaroo. Native to Australia these marsupials stand on Z shaped hind legs and leap across the arid land that is their home. Like all marsupials it has a pouch to carry it's baby (a Joey) until it is mature enough to get around on its own. Most kangaroos are exclusively plant-eaters, with grasses forming the bulk of their diet. They can go long distances without drinking water so they are well adapted to their semi-desert home.
Kangaroo may hop into your dream with its Joey in its pouch to remind you that you may think you are all grown up, but you still need your mother's care. Kangaroo may want you to stay at home instead of bolting out the door to be with your friends on the weekend, to spend more quality time with your mom. Whether you bake cookies together or she shows you how to style your hair, it will be a special time that you'll always remember. Maturity doesn't mean you stop honoring your mother. She spends a lot of her day thinking of you. Think about how she might worry when you are out of her sight for very long. Respect her and tell her where you are going every time! And don't be mad if she checks up on you. She is interested in you and wants to make sure you are safe and sound.
Kangaroo may tell you that it is ok for you to run after your little sister or brother like a mother kangaroo from time to time. Sneak up on them in their room and look at what they are up to. Your mom may need a little break. When you are grown Kangaroo will still be next to you teaching you how to be a good parent to your children. Just like your mom, Kangaroo will always around.
