Owl
Owls are birds of prey that feed on field mice and other small animals. They fly at night silently searching for a field mouse or a rabbit. They actually see better in the dark night than humans and most other animals. Their head rotates around over its wings helping it to scan its environment. You may hear an owl sound out "whoooo" late at night to announce its presence. And you may notice it up in a tree in your own backyard or roosting in the attic.
Some Native Americans tribes believe that owl is a messenger from the dark side of the spirit world. And some fear it as messenger of death. But most tribes understand that Owl brings magic and honor to the tribe.
Owl has sacred medicine for you if it is your ally. The medicine of owl is wisdom. Owl will tell you that you are an old soul who has traveled a long ways since the beginnings of the earth tribe. But that it is just a minute in the infinite love of God "Lifetimes of wisdom you have", says owl. And others will tend to look up to you and ask for your opinion a lot. Even adults will drop their mouths when you speak because you will always have something to say that benefits others. Whether you can see the truth when someone is lying. Or because you speak in language that exceeds the vocabulary of most adults, you will be praised for your knowledge. You may have a tendency to think the kids in your class are immature and you would rather read at lunch in a corner than socialize and play. "Don't do that", says Owl. Your wisdom is needed by your friends. Even if its only because you know the rules of the game they are all playing better than they do. Contribute and you will get what you deserve out of your life always.
The magic that owl is known for is called serendipity. Serendipity is when you have a magical encounter that you would never expect in you life. Like meeting a kid at Disneyland on your vacation with your family, who lives around the corner from your house in Michigan. How does that happen? If you are like owl you will know that life is full of miracles and magic. Your time on earth is made of little miracles waiting for you to notice.
