Pheasant
These wild birds love grasslands and marshes and can be seen taking off with their flock. They have long tail feathers and a long thin neck. The male is far more colorful with its red ring neck while the female is a dull gray brown all over.
If pheasant guides you, you will be shown the bounty of the earth. An eye full of nature's beauty is more powerful for you soul than the latest Spielburg movie that's for sure. Ask your parents to take you to the ocean or to the mountains at a regional park on an overnight camping trip rather than asking for a new bike or the latest video game for your birthday. Experiences in nature with your family will be preserved in your heart forever. Toys and other stuff you outgrow in a year, a month or even in a day. They won't complete you in the same way as a breath of fresh air and a campfire under the stars will.
Pheasant also wants you to understand that appreciation for the bounty of life is more important then praying for what you don't have. "If you counted the gifts you have been given in a year, I bet the list would reveal more things than the number of feathers on my back", says pheasant. Never take what you have been given for granted. Give gratitude for everything you receive. Pheasant has given its body to humans for food for centuries. Give of yourself and deliver the bounty of who you are to your community. Feed the hungry with your church fellowship or give old toys to a family in need and you will nurture your community as well as you heart.
