Raven
Larger than a crow this black scavenger bird is recognized for its shaggy and ruffled plumage at the throat and for its oily black sheen. It is an acrobat in the air, tumbling and rolling through the sky. It calls out with a deep cronk or caw sound and has been known to even imitate sounds in its environment. Ravens eat rodents, insects, grain, fruit, bird eggs and refuse. They are found in a variety of habitats, from treeless tundra to coastal sea banks, rocky cliffs, mountain forests, desert canyons, to open plains.
Do you believe in magic? Well, Raven calls out to you to witness the miracles and magic around you. Magical power is something beautiful when it is used for the good of all. It is in every blade of grass and every little growing seed you plant. Creativity is everywhere and you have a creative side of you that loves to imagine and to paint pictures with your mind. "Plant a miracle with your heart and imagine it with your mind", the Raven says. And you will be surprised at how often life will give you what you want. Your thoughts fly through the air much like the raven. When your thoughts are purposeful they can be sent to those who are in need. If you wish upon a star or pray to God your prayers will be answered especially if you pray for someone who needs a miracle or two more than you. Never take for granted the power you have in your heart to love and to send wishes of good fortune to everyone around you. And think of yourself too and ask for something innocently for you to enjoy. Maybe you are needing to find a stamp to complete the set in your stamp collection. Imagine you have it and send a little prayer and it may turn up in the mailbox with the morning mail. That is magic that comes to you when the creator and you hum together to manifest love.
