Snake
With about 2,000 species of common snakes the varieties, sizes and habitats are extensive. They are reptiles that have no limbs and hug the earth slithering on their bellies. Some are venomous like the rattlesnake and coral snake, injecting poison to paralyze their prey. Others such as the Boa and the python strangle their prey before devouring them.
Snake as your ally wants to tell you a story about creation. Before life on earth and its evolution there was a hum of creative harmony that created everything. This hum came from Great Spirit who made everything in the universe. Great spirit created you too and put the seed of creativity in your heart so you could create with your imagination, beautiful things and experiences. Snake wants you to use your creative power as healing power. He may come to teach you about your own healing power when you have been sick. You have the power within every cell to recreate health. "Believe it and you can heal yourself and later I will teach you how to heal others", says snake. You are powerful.
Snake also may want you to use your imagination to create through art. Whether you draw a picture, paint abstract art or express your genius on the computer paint board , express yourself with vibrant colors and shapes and just admire what you can create. Artistic ability is an intelligence that uses the right side of your brain. Most people are lopsided using only their logical side. Develop your "right side", your artistic creative nature and you will be balanced again.
Imagery and symbols make our world beautiful. And everywhere you go you see art that began in someone's imagination. You may not become a Picasso or a Van Gogh right away, but you will develop your talent with practice and a little snake power in your heart. Talent is an awful thing to waste, so never put your crayons away thinking you are too old to draw pictures because you have to excel in other school subjects first. As an artist you will contribute beauty and fantasy to a world that is starving more beauty.
