Turtle

There are about 270 living species of turtles. They include all of the ocean-living and freshwater turtles of North America, Europe, and Asia, as well as the land-living tortoises. Turtles are ancient life forms that first appeared on Earth about 240 million to and survived the disasters that wiped out the dinosaurs and many other creatures. Turtles are cold blooded reptiles, with leathery skin and have a protective shell on their backs.
They inhabit every continent except Antarctica and are most abundant in warm tropical climates.
Turtle is the great grandmother of the animal tribe. And if she is your ally she will want you to honor and respect your mother, grandmother and all mothers for contributing love to the world. "Your mom gave birth to you and you are a source of her pride", says turtle. She shelters you from harm. She nurtures your mind, your body and your emotions. A mother's comfort is what you need to cure your woes and turn that frown to a smile again. Sure you don't sit on her lap very often anymore. But that doesn't mean that she is not interested in you. Or that you don't need her help either. Confide in her and she will teach you how to take care of yourself by giving you good advice from time to time.
You may not want your mom hanging around you at the mall making decisions about what you should try on or what you finally buy. "That skirt is too short" or "those shoes don't even fit right". How many times have you heard that? Frustrating! Understand that mom may treat you like you are still five because she is following her instincts with you. She remembers all the times you got home and threw those clothes on the closet floor and never wore them again. Mom's have good memories about the milestones that you have passed in growing up too. Like when you walked or talked, lost your first tooth, etc. Listen to how much your mom seems to know and talk about you. Interesting isn't it? It is because you are so important to her and she sees everything you do as special. And as you continue on in your life, mom will always consider you. Continue to see her as an important person in your life. Remember her birthday or show appreciation for the carpooling she does for you and all your friends. Give her a gift and nurture her through your love.
Turtle will want you to evolve and to grow through the nurturing principle. Mothering isn't something you outgrow ever. Receiving love from others is necessary to your life, your health and well-being especially. Later in life, you may really miss your mother if move away from her. Giving love is natural and you can choose to give love and tender hugs to someone who is hurt or who is having a bad day. Mothering will take their troubles away.
