Wombat

Wombats are marsupials that carry their young in a pouch. They have short legs and large round bodies. Wombats are nocturnal preferring to sleep during the day in mounds of dirt that they dug up into a burrow. They eat only plants and the inner bark of trees and shrub roots. Wombats don't have multiple litters - they only bear one young at a time. After birth, the young wombat develops in their mother's rear-opening pouch for about five months.
If wombat is your ally you will learn that your head has a body that is connected to the earth. Wombat will guide you out of your head and your own dream world to appreciate gravity. Wombat wants you to sink your feet in the soil and feel how good it is to be grounded on mother earth. It feels secure and stable. Doesn't it! And you will eventually feel more in sync with the earth and its energy everyday you play on earth's soil. Do people call you air head or are you clumsy tripping over your own feet just standing line? Many people loose their connection to the earth because they live in their heads all the time. School teaches you to use your head, but seldom helps you to explore the earth or your body. Studying in school and watching TV for too many hours can push you away from your body orientation to the earth. Without a strong connection to the earth, you may loose footing, your heart and could create bad health habits that could last a lifetime. Get earthbound through activities that teach you about your relationship with mother earth. Gardening, walks in the park, or nature hikes bring you back to earth's energy and your true harmony. Doing something for the earth such as cleaning up the beach or a hiking trail will help you appreciate nature and your relationship to her more. You will have a sense of pride in knowing you contributed your best to make nature beautiful again. After all it is you home.
