I am t beach..brigatine,nj. in a hotel that is creepy..see two people from my past who i don't want to see me. one is deceased. i am riding elevators and running thru halls. then i am on beach.and the waves are crashing in .i run in hotel with baby and hide.. the water comes in anyway rises above our heads twice but goes back down. then baby is gone.. i can't find her. i am screaming. her dad is crying.. no sound..but actions say hes freaking.and no one gets up to help me act as if nothing happened.. this dream really shook me up. woke up heart racing ANY INTERPS? I am just getting around to this board...sorry to take so long.
As with all dreams, there are many interpretations. I will give the interpretation/s that come to mind.
The first thought that comes to mind, if you have had flood dreams before, or often, you may have lost a child in a flood in a past life. The way you awoke, really shook up, gave me that thought, as well as the people from the past you didn't want to see, and the word deceased. Could even have been a time in Atlantis destruction. The halls and elevators may be symbols of going through the hall of records and seeing past life situations. Quite a number of words you used is what brought to mind the Atlantis situation.
Another interpretation, the hotel can be symbolic of your compartmentalizing your life. Some parts of your life may seem temporary. Or, feeling as if you are in a temporary situation lately. You may be feeling like you are going from one thing to another lately without finding a balance or a comfort zone, another interpretation for the "running" thru the halls. The water rising and crashing can be symbolic of the waves of emotion rising lately, especially it rising above your head several times may mean things may be feeling like you are going under emotionally. You wanting to hide may mean you aren't facing a fear in your life right now, head on, that may need brought out in the open. Or, you wishing you could take a break from a demanding situation. Could mean a confession of your fearful feelings are needed as well. Your not actually hearing your husbands voice, may mean that your husband may not be speaking his feelings to you altho you can see them in his life. He may not be giving you emotional support verbally, which you may be needing. Which is relieved when you use your own voice inwardly to give yourself emotional support. Also, you may feel like you are needing more help from your hubby. He may be living life as usual, when you may be wanting him to notice you need help in your life, especially where it comes to your own tender feelings, as well as actual physical help with the family.
The dream, for the most part, could be symbolizing an overwhelming emotional situation that needs your attention. Especially where your feelings are concerned as well as your own inner child self feeling lost to yourself, which you need to address yourself.
