Good day and love to all.  I am a new member and my sister is an established member and suggested I join this group for many reasons mostly because my family in several generations are gifted.  This is where my question and guidance requires more knowledge than what I have currently found out or have been told.  I honestly just want to understand it better so I can encourage my young son.  I have a son of age 6 and for the last few years he tells me he sees his "sparkly friends".  I never discourage him as I know better here.  I ask him more questions such as "what do they look like, when do they come, when did you see them last, have they visited you recently and where do they live" curious questions on my end and ones of encouragement not to snuff out his gift or make him feel that he has to hide or supress his gift.  He tells  me he sees them (I can't see them) but they come when they want to come, they look like small dots with huge wings like a fairy, he tells me that he plays with them and they play back, they touch him and he touches back, he tells me that they sing and talk, and this is what is truly fascinating to me he can smell them and they smell great to him, they live in the bushes and they were last on vacation and some of them have died off.  What is he seeing?  What type of energy, being or is there any name to give them?  He often tells me about things that will happen before they happen, and when he has been somewhere before and met certain people before when I know he has never met them or been to certain places he has claimed he has been.  Please explain his gift better because I believe he is gifted.  Please enlighten me more and educate me because I want to be supportive and I do not want him to loose this wonderful gift.  I feel so uneducated and feel bad  like I am the ignorant one missing out however, I am so happy he is gifted.

Sincerely, Paulie Girl 2 (Butterfly)

Hi PaulieGirl, I got my daughter to answer your posting, as she understands more about this area than me and has a passion for faries, whom better to understand a child than a child   Hope this helps, below is my daughters response.

hi
Id say he is seeing faeries or bush people.......usally faeries are little glows of divine light and as you get to know them better they slowly manifest into a physical shape...They are the guardians of nature kinda like how angels are gaurdians of us humans, there mission is to help mother nature and make this world a more cleaner place.........Usally if a human can see faeries or the faeries are around them there divine live mission is to help with nature and animals.Alot of people will say faeries are mischevious creatures, Yes they can be mischevious but that is because they are usally trying to gain your attention.......The more that humans believe in them the more power and love they gain to help make this world a cleaner and better place

Misty Blue:

Please tell your daughter I said thanks for all of her insight and for replying so quickly too.  Thanks this explains some of it to me.  Why do the fairies die?  My son told me that they die and go to heaven. He couldn't explain it to well he is only 6...so is there anything I can do to encourage him on talking about his experiences, or to help him develope it further?  Any and all responses are so deeply appreciated truly, and please do it when it is good for you.

Sincerely, Paulie Girl

Your welcome Paulie Girl   I have found with my children to just stick with the basic's, if they come to me with a question due to curiousity I answer it as simply as I can in a way that they will understand and not cause confusion or fear. My children are 13 and 10 so also at a age where they can read books. I think the most important thing for children is to allow them to be kids, and treat spirituality as normally as any other aspect of life and learning.

Every child is different so it may vary to what degree we need to explain things, due to how open they are to the elements around them. Just play it by ear and teach them as it becomes nessacary. Like any thing children get interested in, often we have to learn ourselfs about it to help guide them, and sometimes in the process our children often teach us :).

Let you son enjoy the magic of creativity and all that is seen through the eyes of a child. There is also books our for parenting gifted children , but i havent read any so cant recommend any.

I will ask my daughter that question you posted when she arrived home from school :)

Blessings Misty

Paulie Girl, the answer I got here from my daughter was basically faries are of the spiritual world/realm so they dont die, they manifest through your belief in them. Your son may of got this from fairy tales or from real life where humans are born and one day die.

Misty:

Thanks for checking again with your daughter. I do appreciate her assistance. Where does she get her information on them from? I recently found out that you can make food for them and actually call on them. I found that to most interesting.

Hi Paulie girl, my daughters infomation comes from a few places, firstly she has just finished reading the book "Healing with the Fairies" by Doreen Vitrue and also has the cards Healing with the Faries. She has read information on the net and spoken to people about them and lastly is her own knowingness, shes a old soul and has many wonderful spiritual experinces. She is going to hopefully compile some information about fairies to place a permanent page here on the site :)

Great Misty!!! Tell your daugher I said thanks again for her insight. I have found a shop by dumb luck...wasn't seeking it out a New Age Shop about an hour from my house. The shop seems so neat full of fascinating items things for me to learn about and they had an angel coin for my son there too, which I bought for him. I was so stunned to find out from the stores assistant that you can feed fairies, make food for them to drawl them near and summons them too. How neat.

My son recently asked me if Unicorns are real? I told him "no". Oh to my surprise they are... again the lady at the New Age shop educated us in the authenticity of them and told us that the people (mostly kids) who can see them are truly gifted and special if they can see them. I asked my son what made him ask that question if they were real? He said because he saw them on a shower curtain and wanted to know. So it just goes to show that I have learned something again via my son and others.

Thanks Again for your response and I am looking forward to seeing your daughters posting of the fairies.
