Rosemary

There are many other uses for rosemary than just for cooking. Made into a tea, it helps relieve fatigue and headaches. The tea also helps with colds, infuenza, rheumatic pains and indigestion.

Soak a pad into a hot infusion and use for sprains. Alternate two to three minutes of the hot compress with two to three minutes of applying an ice pack to the injury.

Rosemary is also great for dandruff, just use the infusion as a final rinse.

Cautionary Note for Rosemary:

Because Rosemary helps with fatigue it is recommended to not drink before bed, and drink no more than 3 cups a day as it is potent.

Rosemary Vinegar

After filling a clean jar with fresh rosemary leaves, add apple cider vinegar. Cover and steep 6 weeks and then refrigerate, capping either with a non-reactive lid ( ie, a plastic lid or waxed paper-lined metal lid). Great for use on salads and as a marinade with vegetables and meats.
