I will do a chart comparison for you and your friend .... that may show Karmic ties.

I am working on a writing project ... so it will undoubtedly be  a week or more until I can do this.

 

Karma means action and balance and Dharma and a lot of goodies ... so I did a quick 4 card cut  .... using only the major arcana of the Tarot ... and here is what I got ..

 

1)  Key 11, Justice.  (Libra) At the beginning this involved past Karma for both of you.  In other words: it was a NEW balancing and harmonizing situation for both.  This adjustment opened up new channels of expereince and selection for you both.

 

2) Key 0, The Fool. (Uranus)  In fact, you discovered the whole world was now your oyster.  This is what happens when you drop old 'stuff' -- the possibilities are now as excitingh as they are endless.

 

3) Key 14, Temperance.  (Sagittarius)  AND ... (inevitably) what is new brings new tests and challenges.  This testing has a purpose: you find out what is the dross in YOUR life (not your partners) and eliminate it.  He should be doing the same.  The figure in this key is the Angel Michael.  LIFE loves you both, and the tests that come are designed to make your lives more rewarding.

 

4) Key 7, Chariot (Cancer) ... To think the challenges are a threat is to fall back into the old patterns you dropped when you first met.  LIFE is saying:  HEY!  You are not the chariot (the body-mind-emotion complex).  YOU are the DRIVER of the vehicle .... you are THAT which is an eternal awareness inside ...

If that last remark (lol) isn't clear .... I mean about the 'snotty nose and etc.' ... reincarnation IS the basis for all spiritual systems such as buddhism, yoga, vedanta and astrology.

 

and, as many astrologers understand, people who have worked together in past lives often tend to work together in the future.  Which is one explanation as to WHY certain patterns appear in families, even although their birth times are far separated.

 

The main point I am trying to make here is this: Souls do NOT mate.  If you are a woman during this incarnation, you were undoubtedly a man durimng many previous incarnations.  Further, your mother this time out may have been your son in a previous turn. 

 

And it is really rather freeing to see Life in this manner.  First, you can begin to look for THAT in yourself that is ETERNAL  and continues through one incarnation after another.  Secondly, it is not as important whether one particular relationship WORKS or not.  Sometimes one relationship is no more than a phase.  You move on (or he moves on).  It often depends on whether both partners can grow at an equal rate.

 

Finally, by being less involved in one particular relaltionship -- (and 'involvement' is usually no more than ego at work), we get a chance to examine ourselves with a less prejudiced eye, and can recognize opportunities for our own growth and greater fulfilment.
