Hi there....Yes, I'm still alive. Been going through a lot of shyte in my head for several months but doing ok. Been working on some skanky ho's for a miniature scene and working on the golden egg also. Both are coming along pretty well.
It's cold and windy here today, as I write this, the windows are being rattled pretty bad and you can feel the house shaking. Hope my trees hold up outside and don't come inside.  I see one big limb hanging after being snapped off. Damn this Kansas wind. This is one state where anyone who's been here can say...this place really blows (and the wind does also ).

I see some new names here...hello newbies...ok, maybe you aren't newbies now but you're newbies to me.

If ya want to see my skanky ho's, go here..
I've started blogging to hopefully get some exposure..read an article about that so I have a blog there, on myspace, livespaces, and a few other blogs. So far, not a lot of activity but it's early so we'll see.

Got to get back to my egg but will come back later.

Hi there Simply. Nice to meet you also. No, I don't do Ebay for artwork. I watch how art does there and rarely does it do much...once in a while I'll see something go for a decent price but that's pretty rare. Just found another art site that looks promising though..Etsy. Going to try some listings there as well as Yessy. When I can afford it, absolutearts is a target venue also.

Thanks Moonie...I'm always impressed with your paintings as well.

Lol MW...yep, I like having groupies...lmao. Oh how cool...a Roswell person...got to get to know her..lol.  I've been wanting to do some alien themed miniatures with Roswell being the target area.

Thanks Starry & Pammie...great to see you both also.

Yessy.com is a site where they charge a flat $59 (I think) per year + 10% if you use their check out and billing. The % fee don't apply if you do the transaction outside of Yessy...which is allowed.

Etsy.com charges 20 cents to list an item then I forget what percentage...I keep thinking 35%. It's worth it though to me because it's less than a gallery and they take care of the merchant account business.

I've not sold anything from either yet...just joined Etsy today and am just starting to list works on Yessy so it's still early for both. Yessy offers a 14 day free trial.

Both are so massive customers may have a time finding you but my pages on Yessy do get a lot of hits...just have to get some things on there to sell...lol.

Absolutearts.com charges a premium for their premium account but the exposure is very good. I don't have the $$ to do that but I will someday. They send your work out to galleries and collectors if you're on a paid plan. They do have a freebie I think but it's understandibly very minimal exposure.

Those are the only ones I know anything about. I read more and more about people being discovered on YouTube and if I knew how to pull it off, I'd do a YouTube on the making of a miniature..like a time lapse of some scene or person that would be well known to the majority of viewers. Maybe a sculpture of Obama or something.

 Oh oh oh...one more thing....

Etsy has something very interesting...an area where people list what they would like made and the artists get to bid for the job. I found that very interesting.

Etsy and Yessy both have art and craft where Absolute is only art.

well...........ive put all of my creative energy into decorating the house and landscape......I find myself missing the paints and brushes and the feeling I get when I am working on a project...I do think I may go to some canvas for a spell...do some oils...nice change from painting on a round jug hehe..

Grizz.......I sure wish you were closer..our little sister town across the maumee river is the artsiest place...and a little main street shop is open to lease...I know you would be a perfect fit there...with all your fresh ideas and talent..I love this area for that very reason..just recently they commisioned some 9 local artists to put up a type of sculptural display along our scenic riverbank and it is just beautiful...I plan to go take some pics to post soon.....

I love oils. Hope you have a good time with them.

Oh I'd like living someplace where people loved art like that...hell, I'd settle for someplace where they could at least spell art...lol I'd love having a shop/gallery too and that sounds so nice Jess. Wish I were closer too.
