By Kinky Freidman. A sort-of-autobiography, set in New York in the seventies. Full of drink, cocaine, and oddness, but still an excellent read. Quite possibly the oddest book I ever read. Recommended by sulla , 5/20/2000.

Stranger in a Strange LandBy Robert Heinlien. This book was written back in the 60's a bit before my time I'll admit BUT it is one of the very best books about culturial anthropology Ive ever read. Its in a nice cheesy sci fi format so its catchy and a good read. I can promise that you will think deeply about the ideas and comments that the author is making on our society. Heck it might even follow you for years to come, as it has me.
