I kind of like to visit different places now and then.  I thought I would start sharing some of them here.  This first site is full of all kinds of truisms, if you like that kind of thing.  I copied some examples.

Ice is the moment when water floats upon itself
Thunder is lightning's call
A seed is life in waiting
To beat around the bush is to abuse your garden
As the planet revolves it follows its destiny (marvnbun)
The lesser of two evils is still evil (Wally)
A secret is a fact not widely recognized
At this point you are thus far -- and no farther
To be here is not to be there, unless there is here
The world is full of apathy, but nobody seems to care (Mike)

Thank you , Elvis.  I have been Stuck on the top level of Fitz for awhile now.

This is Flickr's version of word search.

And this is a kind of human 'Where's Elmo?' game.

And this is just plain cool.

It is an exciting time for astronomy these days and there is a lot of data that needs classification.  You can help at the Galaxy Zoo

Who knows, you might even discover something novel like this man did.

hi there HGP

i will try to get this attached, it is the pic of the galaxy we live in and the spot that we are suppose to be in 2012...
facing the center of the galaxy
considering that it takes 25,000 years to make the loop,
we are really close...
am a great sci-fi fan, read these kinds of books instead of romance novels....
love the writers.... was a huge fan of Isiac Asmov...
sigh.  what a mind.

Thanks Judie.  It's amazing that we can know that kind of stuff about our world and space.  Asmov is a fantastic read.

This is for PEACE.  (and all the Beatles fans)

Apophysis is a great freeware fractal editor.  It has had several permutations through the years, is user friendly, and interesting.

This is one example of what it can do.

Big Sky Heidi, I think that the ambient lighting in the room and the quality of your monitor could easily affect the results of that test.

You can try the beta of a new game (online) here.  I think the engineers among us might like this game.
