Also, here is the link to our original memorial, which Bubbles made.  It can always be found at the bottom of our Home Page.

I have thought a long time whether I should respond to this thread or not. Afterall, I am a foreigner. So please don't be upset by my response.

The world changed that day. All of a sudden large scale terrorism could happen everywhere. On 9/11 my thoughts were with the victims and the survivors. No nation deserves this horror.

As I viewed these  great sites I wondered if anyone in the US has paid an equal tribute to all the Victims of the terrorist's attack on the school with all the children in Russia.  Have I missed it?  If not... then it would behoove us in the US to give back the sympathy we received by creating some sort of memorial for these poor lost souls....

Actually there is a site on the BBS web site where you can post your sympathies and such and it is read by russians as well as folks from a lot of other countries. HGP told me about it this evening and I posted there. :>)

Wow... thank you, Ubie!
I was listening to the one woman interviewed, only one of many that they forced to choose between two or more children to take with them when she left. I have four children. I can barely begin to imagine the continual horror, guilt and grief over her wonderful daughter who was left behind and shot in the neck.  - Sue

WOW...in such a short year...so much has happened....I don't like knowing what all this saddness is like....however I am glad I am not a first hand victim...of 9/11...the family of those poor russian people and their children...the tsunami, the earthquakes...the giant mud slides...and the Disaster in the wake of Katrina...although my spelling sometimes makes me wonder about head injuries...(1/2 an LOL)...it has been a rough time for all of us...but it has also been a time of coming together...country to country...people to people...and that is something to be said....politics aside...I believe in people...and I hope that the arms of the world..hug each other..comforting one another for the tragedies we all face day to day...in order that we may rise above all the terror...we dont have time for terrorists...lets hope they dont have arms...or rockets...yanno...

much love to all my odd friends...may your world be a safe place...and in a time of mourning again....I wish you all the best. That goes double for some of you...you know who you are...today..9-11....and the days ahead...

I remember that sad day when we were all uncertain and scared, yet exilirated in our being united!  We pulled together!
