From my point of view, the very notion of having a personal web page, or a Facebook account, or asomething of this type is just an exercise in egotism. After all, just what is there about my life or personal experiences that would warrant a read. Should the world be that voyeuristic about my life, my moods, and my opinions? Also, isn't this self-indulgence a sordid sin against demureness?
If Andy Warhol was right, and each of us are entitled to 15 minutes of fame, I don't want to squander my 15 minutes on some postadolescent self-indulgent navel-grazing. It's the least I can do for my fellow man, woman, or dog.
