Here is an assignment I had in my college writing class.  I really had fun with it.  Pick up any book.  Open it randomly.  Close your eyes and point your finger onto a page.  Open your eyes, note the word your finger hit on and write it down.  Do this five times.  Write the words down here and cite the name of the book you got them from.  Now the next person has to write a limerick, a poem, or a short narrative paragraph using those words.  Then he/she/it has to open their own book and pick out 5 words in the same manner.  I wish I could remember my poems.   Remember, these words are to be random and not especially difficult or funny for effect (that is why you have to shut your eyes)!  Also, if you deem the word inappropriate or distasteful in any way, ignore that one and choose another.

Probably   Decent   Two   Think    Happy

Most people would probably say they're not decent,
But those two, I think know what it means to be happy...

I read "Broken Wings" and was slightly disappointed. Oh well. Here goes:

As I drove down Hickory Lane, I noticed children playing by the side of the road. The dirty little ragamuffins were innocently trying an old dog's patience. He snapped at them and sent little girls shrieking. One bold young boy aproached my Jeep and asked where I was going., to which I replied: "Oh...Nowhere."

A Bewildering shadow crept under my door.
It's Rugged shape made me shake to the core.
In Traditional sense I should be fast asleep.
But the noise of a Whip to my feet made me leap.
Then I heard this Lofty creature whisper, "Nevermore".

Sooner,   Fancy,   That,     Interrupted,     Desire

The Interruption of Wind
The flesh is a wall
Between the fire
And Sooner than Fancy
Will come a Desire
That, Interrupted,
will add to the passion;
Love, uncorrupted
And of a true fashion
Wind will fuel a strong flame
and obliterate the fire lame
