#1
When I woke up this morning, I wiped the sleep from my eyes.
I found a new day dawning and suddenly I realized,
You're gone.

#2
I can't see you, but I can feel
Like a scar that just won't heal.
Blue eyed gypsy you're still with me everywhere I go,
Lonely won't leave me alone.

#3
I'm a little boy with glasses, the one they call 'the geek'.
A little girl who never smiles 'cause I've got braces on my teeth.
And I know how it feels to cry myself to sleep.
I'm that kid on every play ground who's always chosen last.
A single teenage mother tryin' to overcome my past.
You don't have to be my friend, but is it too much to ask?

#4
It's been a while since she's heard him say,
'See you tonight' his usual way.
There's always some place he's gotta go, somewhere he needs to be.
And it's not thesame now when they touch
She figures he's just working too much.
Somehow that makes it all ok
And gets her through another day.

#5
I don't know how I've survived
In this cold and empty world for all this time,
I only know that I'm alive
Because you love me.
When I recall what I've been through
There's some things that I wish I didn't do,
But now I do the things I do
Because you love me.

#6
Dancin' in the dark, middle of the night.
Takin' your heart and holdin' it tight.
Emotional touch touching my skin
And asking you to do what you've been doing all over again
Oh it's a beautiful thing
Don't think I can keep it all in
But I gotta let you know
What it is that won't let me go.

I'll post answers later.

The name of it is " Don't take your guns to town"  It was sung by Johnny Cash  and was a pretty big hit. He included it in his " Gunfighter " album.

How about :  My son called another man daddy
He'll ne're know my name nor my face
God only knows how it hurts me
For another to be in my place.

Each night, I lay there in prison
I pictured a future so bright
For he was the one ray of sunshine
That shone through the darkness of night

HI Guys....Doodle..that one is sad...I can tell...and I don't want to skip it...I just want to "add" one from me....Oddly enough, I found a couple I like...I can't guess any of yours, but I am sure you will get this one...
<DIR>

I hope you never lose your sense of wonder

You get your fill to eat but always keep that hunger

May you never take one single breath for granted

God forbid love ever leave you empty handed

I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean

Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens

Promise me that you'll give fate the fighting chance

And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance...

</DIR>

LOL! This is not going to work. Your songs are to new for me and mine too old for you. However, I do like the words to that song verbage.
BY-the-way, the song I wrote the words to is, " My Son Calls Another Man Daddy" and it was a semi-hit for Hank Williams.
LOL See what I mean about age.   Sorry Jotter , I don't know that one.

How's about y'all take a crack at this one?

"It's kinda like a lost and found in a motor town
Your asking about a diamond ring
They just look at you like you've lost your mind
say they, haven't seen a thing
But I know she's been here lately, I can still smell her perfume
She gets crazy, on a full moon."

when he left he took my brand new silverado. I started thumbin' and I finally hitched a ride. I just came in here to drink a beer and watch the red necks fight.

Yeeeehaw!!!

Gretchen Wilson's "One Bud Wiser"

I oughta know that one.  I am a rednuck.  Which is a cross between a redneck and a Canuck.

Try this one:

Put your sweet lips a little closer to the phone
Let's pretend that we're together all alone
I'll tell the man to turn the juke box way down low
And you can tell your friend there with you he'll have to go.

Opps, sorry about that,we've been part of a war zone lately.
ok here's mine

If you could see deep into my heart
Feel what I'm feeling
Its like I have become a part of history
The greatest story ever told
You're love has me believing
Loving you will be my legacy
And you can trust
I'll remain true
And all because of you
