Well, I was suppose to call a drag race today in Oklahoma ,but I got rained out . So here I am back home . I was thinking about that rain on the way back. I wonder if the Roman Gladiators back there at the Colosium ever got rained out. " Ceasar! Countryman! Lend me your umbrellas. " LOL
You know I bet the rain has changed history more times than we know.

    1. Sorry all you Custer and Sittin' Bull fans . I'm afraid our massacre will have to be postponed because of the rain. All fans will be given a raincheck and all of you that don't wish to wait may recieve your wampum back. Everyone wanting to attend out next slaughter let me caution you, Beware of the scalphunters.

   2. Because of rain Wilber and Orville Wright will not demonstrate their ,
uh-- chuckle--uh --for sure-- uh "flying machine" Heh-heh-heh. ( as if they could ever get that dastardly machine off the ground) Those of you who have brought your picnic lunches may spead them out under the wings of Wilber and Orville's monstrosity.

  3. It is so sad for me to have to tell you that the siege at the Alamo will have to be postponed until sometime in April because of high winds and torential rain. The boys in the " mo" , as we call it ,must repair that big hole in the roof. The Mexicans may seek refuge in San Antonio. There are some lovely hotels and and I understand over at the Bowie Cassino there will be a Macarena contest. Feel free to test you skills and partake of their scrumpcious margaritas.

 4. Because of the horrible weather, the Battle of New Orleans has been moved to
Phoenix , Arizona. Please hold your tickets for the gal event . You will be contacted when the fight will occur as soon as we know exactly where Arizona is.

 5. The " Running of the Bulls" will be delayed today until the street cleaners have first mopped up the water accumulated because of the heavy downpoars we exprienced early this morning. We would not want anyone to drown because you wer run over by the bulls causing your head to be shoved below the water surface.

Yep , I was just a drivin' and a wonderin'. LOL
Oh, yeah! I wonder who came up with the sayin' " Well, there's more than one way to skin a cat. "  Whew! I sure don't want them demonstating the others for me.

DoodleDanD, you've done it again...LOL!!!

And how about the Vikings: All pillaging is called off due to inclement weather. Plundering just isn't any fun in the rain. Everyone is covered with mud and we can't tell who's who...

Revolutionary War: All you farmers gather around here for a minute (that's the real way they got to be minute men)...The British have requested a break in the war. There's rain coming and you know how those red coats run. It'll be too hard to tell if they're wearing blood or just a bad dye job. There could be a lot of problems with ambushes and the like so both sides are taking the day off.

And what about the reverse?
Noah: Hey, God! What do you mean you changed your mind? We've never seen rain before and I've been preaching up a storm for 120 years. And now you're telling me there's no rain? So what do I do with all these smelly animals?

Dan, I really enjoyed these. Thanks. LOL!!!

Doodle, these were terriffic!  Who would get the rain check for Custer's Last Stand?  G. A. Custer, or Sitting Bull?  And re-locating the Battle of New Orleans to Arizona would have some advantages.  Neither side would be distracted by the flashing that goes on in the French Quarter.  Last I heard, Arizona was straight-edge.

Maybe the siege of Quebec could have been called off because of weather, eh?  We're always having weather.
