Hi Annie, This flute is made from Canary Wood. It's the first time I have worked with that wood. I like it almost as much as I like Alaska Yellow Cedar, my favorite.
The lizard totem is carved from bone. I can't remember where I got it. I usually use something that I carve.
I play but not well. I make up tunes when I tune the flutes. Not only must the notes be correct but more important, to me, is that they must work together.
I make only Native American Flutes. It never occurred to me to make any other kind.
You know I love it when someone like my work.
