My favorite thing about fall is watching the leaves turn colors...did you ever wish they would last longer? You can extend their beauty by a couple more months.
I tried this one year and it has become traditional for our family's Thanksgiving table.
All you need is fresh colored leaves, hairspray, and newspapers. Spread the newspapers on the floor...lay the leaves on, and spray with the hairspray, moving the can or bottle back and forth so they get a fine solid coating. Let dry, then turn over and spray the other sides. When all are completely dry you can press them with books...I use heavy encyclopedias.
These are very beautiful put in the windows or scattered on a table...anywhere you want to decorate. One year I did a lot, scattered them over the whole table, then covered it with clear plastic...the kids loved it! hugs, Cheri
