I have always felt something special in my heart for elderly people. I know its because of my relationship with my grandpa - who was my mentor and teacher as I was a small girl.. He was such a big part of my life and taught me all I know about my ancestors and where we came from..plus taught me to be proud of who I am.
And it comes from knowing other elderly people in my life that has given me a long and rich history.of my people. I was always told to teach others during my life and as I grow older now, I can see the reasons I was told and taught as I was ..way back then. I am so thankful for all my elders but especially my grandpa...he was special and will always be so. always. Annie
When you get to be an elder, you tend to turn and look back over all those years that stretch out so far back into the past.
But our life's paths change as we move toward crossing over. I can see that when I compare my talks to elementary-school students, college students or young adults. They are looking forward: They're asking, "How can I get that nice car or big house?" and "How can I keep myself beautiful?", for example.
As you get older, it is hard to change your income. You either made it or you didn't. Also, your body is affected by how you've lived or what comes your way in terms of diseases."
