Heavenly Fragrance,,from the book"The Fragrant Heavens"

Blending with Prayer and Affirmations.

Prayers and affirmations are positive thought patterns, vibrations that can be transmitted to essential oils, especially when blending. Prayer is not something tangible...although its effects are. Many miraculous healings have been accomplished through the power of prayer. However, when prayong for another person, and particularly when blending oils for other people, it is crucial to be quite sure what it is they wish for. People are very complexed and may think they want a particular outcome when in their hearts, they dont. By all means make a blend of essencial oils to give to others which may help them find peacefullness.

                                          SAGE

                                     Salvia Officinalis

Sacred sage cleanses and purifies the spirit. The spirit of the different stages...for there are many...hold the wisdom of the spheres within the fragrance, while summoning the powers that heal and protect. Sage is a protective spirit for those who are not afraid of the spiritual forces or of the force of the unseen beings. The might of the heavens summoned by the sage is wisdom and power, standing fast in times of adversity. Sages purpose is to provide all these things for humans: also it helps us to integrate a spirit that has the majesty of the heavens behind it...to call forth God and the celestial warriors, to defend, protect and heal the human spirit and Mother Earth..
This sage is used in cooking and other herbal usees. For relief of sore throat, steep 2 teaspoons dried or fresh leaves in 1 1/4 cups boiling water for 35 minutes...strain and sweeten with honey idf desired...and take every 1/2 hour or as needed.

WHITE SAGE... This particular sage is grown primarily for its use as a cleansing during ceremony by Native Americans. It can be used during meditation or to cleanse a room or area. This sage is known as Salivia Apiana. It is used in sweatlodge ceremonies and a great way of purification.

                                                 LAVENDER

Lanender embodies the warm, protective love of Mother Earth. It is caring, cherishing and nuturing, and energetically very active in the auric field closest to the body, incorporating heavenly energies into the physical with great efficiency.
When deep saddness covers the spirit like a suffocating blanket, lavender gently lifts the weight. When the inner tears fall, lavender wipes them away. When depression clouds the psyche, lavender blows it asunder. And for those with worries that trouble the spirit, lavender lifts the veil of despair.
The mother of essential oils will not tolerate bitterness, malice or jealousy in her mortal brood but with compassion seeks to bring out the best in us all, letting us know we are all her precious children and we all have her destiny of goodness to fulfill.
Besides the great fragrance this plant has that we usedried for potpourri and sachets it has other uses . It is a great cough supprerssant...by adding 1/2 cup dried flowers to 2 cups of boiling water. Cover and remove from heat...let steep for 30 minutes and then strain. Sip this every 3 hours to find relied.

                                          CHAMOMILE

When used with purpose and direction, the fragrance of the blue chamomile assists in seeking spiritual understanding. Its petals open with the sun and it pulls down the energy from the heavens and the solar system. When inhaled with purpose, it can allow a deeper knowledge of the working of the universe, and of certain angelic orders who work close to earth. When confusion seems to have become prevalent in a persons spiritual life and the laws of the Creator seem to have no meaning to the life we live on earth, then the fragrance can often help us to understand. As we all already know the answers, it is thast we need a stillness to reach to the wisdom stemming from God which can be found  by meditation. It can help the transfers of prayers and give clearer understanding of Gods work, energies and laws.
This is  a annual herb with beautiful flowers that not only are fragrant but the plant is benificial also. Its a great tea that can help with migraines and hyperactivity. Just steep 2 tablespoons of fresh or dried flowers in a pint of boiling water for 40  minutes. Then strain and if you like, add a touch of syrup or honey to sweeten. Just drink 1 or 2 cups at a time to help relieve these problems. This tea is also great for allergies when you drink 3 cups a day for adults...and 1 or 2 for children.

                                                ALOE
Most everyone knows this plant is benificial to have in the kitchen for treating burns, but did you know it can also be used to treat warts? Soak a small piece of cotton on the aloe gel and tape over wart. Every 3 hours , add more with eye dropper. Repeat process each day with a clean cloth and by the 4 th day when the cotton is removed what remains of the wart will fall off and no scar.

                                 White Birch

Bet you never realized the potential this tree has in medicinal purposes. The bark of this tree was used by Native Americans in the treatment of wounds and sores.
Bring 1 quart of water to a boil, reducing the heat and adding 3 TBsp of dried bark. Cover and simmer 10 minutes. Remove from heat and steep for 1 hour. Using clean muslin cloth soaked in the strained solution and lightly wrung out, place on effected skin area.
The bark is also being studied by re4searchers for the treatment of skin cancer...reserch began in 1996 but have not heard results as of yet. They tested it on animals and found iot very successful.

                            Feverfew

This plant is a member of the Chrysanthemum family and is a definite one to have if you suffer from migranes, headaches and arthritis. Mediccal studies have shown that taking a few leaves a day over a few months brings felief to migraine sufferers and the only side effect is that it helps relieve arthritis. The leaf is bitter so just wrap it in a small piece of bread to ngest, You only need about 3 small leaves. You also can find this plant in capsule form at many stores if you dont grow your own.

                               RoseMary

Rosemary is a wonderful herb that grows all year long. In late fall, bring it indoors and still enjoy the aromas besides using it for cooking and other uses. Did you know it is a great skin softening agent? Take a bath with a few leaves mixed with Cammomile and enjoy the fragrance.
