Altho Lakota and Dakota are different dialects....most speakers from each nation can understand what the other is saying.... usually the Dakota dialect takes the "T" sound and uses a "D" sound.... and vice versa.....
the usage of good morning....hihanni waste'..... and good afternoon....wicoka waste'... would be undestood from the standpoint of speakers from each side.
