Hello Harvey,
I always read your e-mails since many years. I don't always understand them fully because of my bad american/english language understanding.
I used to talk "on-line" with some americans some years ago, and, excepted the american indians, no one of them seemed to have heard about Leonard Peltier. It's totally unfair.
I have a question to ask to you, but I am not sure that my english is good enough to be understood in a good way. I don't want that you think that I don't like americans and America. I have always dreamed to visit and even (why not) to try to live there. So I'm not an anti-american.
My question is :
Why does americans always claim they wants freedom and justice for all in the whole world, and are not able to claim freedom and veritable justice for Leonard Peltier? Everyone knows that he is a political prisoner. A political prisoner in a supposed "nation of freedom and justice"... How is it possible?
I hope that you don't consider my words as "mean words" or "anti-american words" because they are not.
You, I, and many peoples in America and in the world knows that Leonard will never be free and will die in prison. It's horribly sad and unfair.
During the time I write this message to you, french and american presidents are having fun together at Wolfeboro, New Hampshire... Do you think they even talk or think of Leonard peltier?... I bet they doesn't.
Liberty, are you just a word?
Sincerely,
