Hi Flossie, I'm Joe. I recently found out that I have Tuscarora ancestry. I have hit nothing but road blocks and dead ends and it gets frustrating sometimes. But you are lucky in the fact that at least now you know. It helps me to talk to people, go to gatherings and pow-wows, and learn from the elders what you can. Hang in there and dont give up, the people here are good people to talk to. Keep trying, try to be patient, I hope you find the answers you are looking for. Joe |

Welcome, Flossie! I hope you are successful in your search! I was fortunate, that my mother wrote down ~ as was told to her ~ family names and where they came from. She gave them to me before she crossed over. She had Cherokee on both parents' sides. I have one remaining uncle out of my mother's family and he is giving me even more information! I am very pleased about knowing more. :) Dee |
