I attended the Red Earth Pow Wow in OKC last weekend.  The Cherokee Heritage Center of Oklahoma had a booth and displayed Intro to Cherokee language cd's and text books.  Do you have a recommendation of which you feel is best to start with:   Introduction to Cherokee, speakers are Sam Hider & Durbin Feeling, approved by the Cherokee Nation  or  Beginning Cherokee, Linguist Ruth Bradley Holmes and Betty Sharp Smith?  I know it's not enough to have books and cd's, would love to have someone to communicate with as well.  Are you available to work with someone in this way?

I would also appreciate a translation of my two English names to Cherokee...
