During this month in 2007, Army Specialist Daniel Lee Harmon was posthumously awarded the Bronze Star. The Woody Island tribal member was honored for saving a fellow soldier during an ambush in the Vietnam War. Harmon was saving a second soldier when he was shot in the heart.
