During this week in 2007, the White Earth Band of Ojibwe welcomed home their adopted relatives. A healing forum, spiritual teachings and opportunities for those adopted to learn more about the tribe took place during the three-day homecoming on the Minnesota reservation. Organizers of the "Welcome Home Gathering" said the community was deeply impacted by the removal of children.
