Gather round the fire and a story I will tell. You see it was long ago in a village not so far away , the Coyote devised a scheme to trick the cheif. the village had many different people who were there with one purpose in common. all of them were seeking to learn from one another, and to live in Balance with the world around them.

 There was a Scout who would go out into the world and bring back news from the other villages far away. there also was a wise man and a wise woman in the village that not many people ever got to speak to. You see the wise ones were behind the scenes and only counsiled with for their knowledge.  
 

 One day the scout was on the way back with news from the Far off peoples. this was just what coyote needed to dupe the Chief. a council was called so the scout could share what was learned while away. it was after the news was shared the council began to discuss the matters at hand. Coyote had his chance to speak and said " scout , you bring this news but we do not need to hear it as it comes from the far off peoples. we have our community and all is well here withou your news."  

 

The Chief agreed near instantly with the Coyote. So the Chief  told the scout he was no longer welcome to bring news to them. The scout left the council house and went on his way. the next day the Chief noticed Coyote was not around the village. and some of the people had left in the night.  

 The Chief thought on this matter and began to council with some of the elders. they told the chief " why not ask a child, what has happened.". so the chief went and spoke to Little Boy. 

 

The chief asked "What has happened the people are leaving" Little Boy spoke to the chief and they discussed what was going on. Little Boy asked the Chief " When and where did these troubles begin ?" The chief thought and answered" When Coyote spoke out about the Scout".

 

Little boy then asked " and what happened there?" Chief replied" Well I acted and agreed with the Coyote. but I did not seek the advice of the council." Little Boy laughed and said , "The trickster has done his finest works with you. "My chief, I have little knowledge or wisdom but you have made a mistake, to me it is easy to overlook."

 There are peoples in this village who have left and im sure some more will. You see though the lesson that Coyote has taught you and the people is this" We are all different and diverse, it is those who can see past this that will truely learn what they are seeking.  

 

The Chief called a council with all the villagers about the deed that had been done. The Scout was invited back to the council house from that day forth.
