O`siyo
Cherokee Indians (AniTsalagi) never say good-bye, that word seems to be so final. We say "Until I see you again".
There are two words in Tsalagi. Speaking to one person is do-na-da-`go-v-i Speaking to a group is do-`da-ga-g`hv-i
As little Ojibwa I know, they have two words for good-bye giga waabamin minawa (I will see you again) Bamaapii (Until we meet again)

  sgi - thank you
do-`da-ga-g`hv-i (Until I see you again)

Wado AwiAdisi!
I'm reading through this section for the first time (I've been away for a while) and I learnig so many things! Thank you! :D
I also find it interesting that Italian doesn't have a "good-bye" word. We say "Arrivederci" (until we meet again / until I see you again) or "Addio" (farewell, only used in written Italian, very rare in conversations).
I like comparative learning; being fluent in 4 languages, I can't help by noticing differences or similarities or nuances.
  Thanks again for teaching us!
  sara
