Chocolate Cherry Dream Cake
1 pkg Duncan Hinds Devils food cake mix
1 3oz cherry Jell-O, I used sugar free
1½ cups boiling water
1 8 oz pkg cream cheese, softened
1 8 oz container whipped topping
1 can cherry pie filling
Bake cake according to directions on pkg in a 9 X 13 pan. Cool for 5 minutes on rack. Dissolve Jell-O in the 1½ cups of boiling water. Using a meat fork evenly poke holes all over cake. Pour Jell-O over cake. Cool for 15 minutes, transfer to refrigerator for 30 minutes. Beat cream cheese in bowl till light and fluffy. Fold in whipped topping. Carefully spread over cake. Top with cherry pie filling. Refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving. Refrigerate left overs.
