""This is for anyone who likes to tell stories and tales. I will start a story and you all can continue to add to it ...as you wish...to make it into a interesting story.""

                                   our story
One night as I was driving home from work I saw an elderly man walking alone on the highway. Worried that he may be lost or confused I stopped to see if I could help. As I pulled up beside him...........

he smiled and said hello as i brought the truck to a stop. i asked him if he needed help or assistance. he smiled and said " thank you friend, if you could get me to the nearest motel i would be obliged". i drove this gentleman to the motel and paid for his room, as he looked like one who was not wealthy. i waited and made sure he had gotten settled into his quarters. we sat and talked a bit, and he shared many stories about his travels. we exchanged addresses, to my surprise he had a home, and was simply hiking cross country for personal enjoyment. i thanked him for the stories we shared and went on my way.  it was sometime later a couple yrs passed actually, i recieved a package at the post office,  also enclosed in the package was a letter.

i opened the letter, and it said someone else add to this story hehehe

The letter was short, but brought a tear to my eye. He thanked me again for my kindness to him those several years back and told me that he was preparing his journey song. As the days drew closer to when he would make his final journey he felt prompted to leave to me a great thank you for my kindness to him. Also enclosed with the letter was........................

Creator spoke to me and I was led by spirit to go to the shoals of of a creek near my home and offer a prayer, for this man's Journey and For mine, As the smoke begain to rise, one of the Ancestors appeared before and he spoke  ( you fill in What Was said)

i went back to my people said i know truely understand the wisdom of what Handsome Lake had said " just as you desire good treatment, so render it" it had been some time since i had done this good deed for a stranger, and yet what i had done has come back to me. had i simply passed up this stranger would good things have come to me during the time of trial i was having. i think not. so friends, neighbors i say to you, always be willing to help a stranger, for you never know if Creator has sent them before you to find if there is peace in your heart..........
