About 2 years ago I started having visions of the " WhiteBuffalo and WhiteBuffaloCalfWoman"
I have seen the "WhiteBuffalo" in the clouds. He filled the skies and the sun shone thru where his eye was... it was awesome.
I have had several dream/visions of them yet I was told that it wasn't possible because I was not doing a sweat at the time. They did start shortly after I did my first Sweat.
Be safe

Wow, you too! I fisrt saw her in dreams when I was a small kid. She's popped in and out of my life, but she started making regular appearances in my life again last month...maybe that's why I found the buffalo skull in that antique store  (Oh, I am still fuming over that...lol).

In honor of her (and after much arguement with my mother) I paid homage to her by making her my 2nd tattoo. My first was my medicine animal. I am attaching the pic of her...everyone keeps asking me if it's a "Native American Princess" ...

I believe White Buffalo Woman is a great role model for women, especially to us Natives.

WaxHippie...

Being full blood is good and fine.. but if Spirit is not right .. does it mean the samething?
Isn't it possible that someone of the right Spirit be able to have sight in seeing?
Why would it only be a dream because I am not full blood?
Are we suppose to say because you are not full blood anything that is seen is just a dream and not a message or true insight?

the ojibwa believe the white buffalo calf women is called sky women, we have had the pipe for over 10000 yrs the white buffalo calf women pipe is about 800yrs old, the statement about are u full blooded or are you lakotah is a statement i dont agree with, are you the creator? Are you the giver of dreams and visions? Are the lakotah loved more? I know of white people who are pipe carriers, the are more respectful of our ways than some natives I know. As a sundancer I know about the importance of dreams and visions, these are sacred. I repeat our dreams and visions are sacred, the person who had this dream should get it interpreted by a medicine man, it could mean maybe shes supposed to recieve a pipe, or thar shes need doctoring, I am not a medicine man so i can only guess, but keep that dream keep close to your heart it is a gift from the creator, it is sacred.
