When was the last time any of you read a book about Henry VIII.

Seems we have all been guilty of pushing him into the background.  There have been so many new books about more obscure Tudor characters that he has been neglected.  I almost feel I need to reacquaint myself with him!

What was the last book you read on just Henry 8?

I don't think I've read anything specifically directed at ol Henry there in years....the most recent might be Starkey's Six Wives take & that was yonks ago.

It was a while ago but I read Henry VIII And His Court by Alison Weir. Pretty good. I like her but I see by some posts that they are not that enthusiastic about her.

O I'll read Alison Weir, as she does NON-fiction well LOL  I just don't happen to agree with a a lot of her conclusions, especially her biases against RIII & Anne Boleyn
