I came upon the word "ravishing" in a book I was reading, and it made me pause. I've read this word a thousand times before, and it didn't used to bother me, but now it kind of does. Here's why:
Ravish-ing. Doesn't the "ing" technically make it a verb? Yet, it's still an adjective as well!
Wouldn't a more appropriate word be ravishful or ravishous?
What a weird word... haha!
