Really depends on the word usage I would say. When you add the -ing suffix, that -ing means the action of or the process of...If you were to say, " Her ravishing eyes stripped away my being." You could say that," She will ravish me with her eyes, which stripped away my being." Or, " With her eyes she ravished away my being." It really just depends on how you are using the word to portray this or that.
