I find this fascinating and thought provoking in a few different lights... according to the site, she started painting at 1 & 2 years of age..... where did it come from? pre-birth? biological gift? Is it a simple thing that she found pleasurable in that young mind (having studied child development, this makes me go Hmmmmm) or did/does it have a deeper meaning for her? I've been looking at her pieces (gods that site loads slow) and although not a huge fan of modern art, I am still impressed with the work itself... my favorites? Lollipop, Digits III and Aquarium ... I find I really enjoy the depth of colour and the movement they create. I'm curious as to what the future holds for Mary... other then college, lol |
