Aum Mani Padme Hum
"Aum Mani Padme Hum" is a simple Tibetan mantra that literally translated means "The jewel is in the lotus." or might be translated "Hail to the jewel in the lotus."
(ohm-mah-nee-pahd-may-hoom)
Aum is 'white' and relates to the Gods.
Ma is 'blue' and relates to the non-Gods.
Ni is 'yellow' and relates to men.
Pad is 'green' and relates to animals.
Me is 'red' and relates to non-humans
Hum is 'black' and relates to the dwellers in the purgatories.
The Hindus also regard "Aum" as the creative sound which builds up the worlds. AUM is the most perfect and precise mantra merely in itself: A of AUM is the waking state-subjective consciousness, U of AUM is the dream state-consciousness of the inner world of thoughts, feelings, and desires; M of AUM is the deep sleep state-consciousness of undifferentiated unity.
Aum Mani Padme Hum!
Hail to the jewel in the lotus! Hail to the Divine Spirit, it is amongst us, in the world! The gods, the spirits, the men, the animals, that which is not alive but still life, that which has been lost to us... the jewel is here inside the lotus of our world. It exists around and within us. Nothing is forgotten. It is with us in our waking, in our dreams, inside ourselves. It exists in our thoughts, our feelings, our desires. Divinity is amongst us. We are not alone. Hail!
