The Bookstand
Atlantis: The Antideluvian WorldBy Ignatius Donnelly. First published in 1882, available still in various forms, including complete printings on a few web sites, this book was the basis for what most people recall as the Atlantis story. I managed to come across a first issue, in a used book store. This book is very well done. Donnelly was a politician in the 1800s that took a lot of criticism for this book, and for spending so much time researching it. He makes his case by exploring language, myth, history, trade routes, vegetation etc. Some of what was taken as fact in 1882, has now been proven false, but the exploration of multiple disciplines all present in this one book, make it a standard and necessary reading for understanding the legend of Atlantis. By Donald M. Kraig. I consider Modern Magick to be a crucial guide for both the neophyte and the accomplished Adept. It instructs you on the basic tools, rituals, and techniques of ceremonial magick in easily understandable terms. This book is a very handy addition to anyone's library of the Arcane. Awareness, The Perils and Opportunities of RealityBy Anthony De Mello. Written by a Jesuit priest, this book is neverless applicable to all and most. Mello introduces a concept that is both awakening and freeing, I highly recommend it. It's a fast read and won't set you back much in the pocket, but has the potential of changing your outlook on life radically. Excerpt from the Forward, ON WAKING UP..... "Spirituality means waking up. Most people, even though they don't know it, are asleep. They're born asleep, they live asleep, they marry in their sleep, they breed children in their sleep, they die in their sleep without ever waking up. They never understand the loveliness and the beauty of this thing we call human existence. You know, all mystics -Catholic, Christian, non-Christian, no matter what their theology, no matter what their religion - are unanimous on one thing: that all is well, all is well. Though everything is a mess, all is well. Strange paradox, to be sure. But, tragically, most people never get to see that all is well because they are asleep. They are having a nightmare." By Gustav Davidson. I recieved this book as a gift am very much in love with it. It includes so much information that I have been unable to find anywhere else but the Akasik Records on my personal astral journies. Some of this information includes: The Averse Sepiroth (This is a great one. Most of us are only familiar with the right-side emanations. These are the left-side.) The Darker Aspects Of Uriel (This is my personal favorite. I am rather close to Uriel and I know him in his darker colours, so to speak.) The Truth About Lucifer (Lucifer is not the same as Satan. It was simply a misreading of a particular Bible passage that caused the Lucifer-Satan association.) The Angelic Script (This is an excellent magickal reference for those interested in the ceremonial side of things.) The book is quite large at 386 pages (oversized softcover edition) and these are only four of many pieces of specialized knowledge concerning the Angels. It is a wonderful reference manual and I cannot reccomend it highly enough. Recommended by Çâlâís•Ñøx, 3/24/2004.

The Witch's Circle: Rituals & Craft of the Cosmic MuseBy Maria Kay Simms. A fascinating book combining Wicca and Astrology. Also includes rituals, ethics and a guide for a Newbie on finding information, circles, making robes, designing ritual, etc. Recommended by Rainwolf2, 5/29/2004.

Cosmic SerpentBy Jeremy Narby. Anthropologist Narby's very personal account of his encounters with Amazonian shamanism and his passionately researched syntheses of anthropological, biochemical, neurological and mythological scholarship fascinate but do not convince. His defense of the rights of indigenous peoples against... Read more
