                       Hiya Fid Lovers!!!
Wow we're into June! I hope the months slow down a bit because I want to enjoy every minute of summer because it takes forever to get here!!

Wayne's and my wedding anniversary is the 3rd and we decided to have a party to celebrate! A friend of ours has a band and has agreed to play for us. We're grilling out and I'm making chili as well as some salads, so it should be a good time.

I'm slowly but surely getting used to the bird room and I need to take more pictures so you can all see how it's looking. The birds seem to love it now, but it took some a while to get used to the place.

I hope everyone has a terrific weekend!! Nan

I'm finally able to get into BB and the posts as it seems in the last week all I could do was post once..

Poor Annie has put up with my complaining about MSN in daily emails.
It is so hot here and still no rain so whoever is getting all the moisture, please share!!

I'm trying to plan on going to the Orlando Bird Fair on the 6th but with the price of petrol I may have to postpone that.... or walk!

Magnolia is maybe coming around and calming down, hasn't tried to take a chunk of me yesterday or today. I want my sweet gal back to cuddle and love on...

Hi all,

Aloha!  I see Nan is still faithfully taking care of things :)

We still have the 4 birds we brought to Hawaii.  Holly the B&G, BC the severe macaw, and the 2 U2's Corky and Karma.

It was so hard to find cages here on the Big Island.  Finally have a new one for Karma a nice big dome top from someone who was moving.  She is still no more interesting in marrying Corky and having children LOL than she was 5 or 6 years ago!  Poor Corky ever the loving gentleman just keeps patiently clack-clack-clacking away at her, prancing about in he-man cockatoo style.  What a bird.

Nice to check in when I can and read a few posts. and see some old friends.

:) hugs,
Allie

The 12th of the month already and only six posts ahead of me.  I keep wondering what's happened to everyone around here?

I'm here... just been having melting... figuratively anyway... oh that it were literally! At least the heat would be bearable then! LOL. The baby tiels are fledged, clipped and starting to wean. The other 5 eggs should start hatching tomorrowif all goes well. I hope all the 'missing members' are having fun, but stop by and say "Hi."
Allie B, it's been such a long time! Glad you stopped in and let us know you and fids are well!

Yikes! Can you believe that June is half over now? Time is really zooming by!

I went with Emily's pre-school today on a field trip. We took a train from Victoria to Shawnigan Lake ... about an hour and a half run. Murray drove up and met the train, and we went by car to Bamberton. There we had a snack, and then the kids all went exploring on the beach. They saw all kinds of interesting critters, and collected tons of shells. The trek down to the beach from the parking lot was fairly long, really quite steep. The walk down was a snap, but the walk back up ... now that was a doozy! lol

It was a long, full day, and I enjoyed it immensely. I'm sure glad I have a boss who will let me accumulate lieu time so I am able to spend occasional days like this one with my granddaughters!

Less than two weeks now and my father and I fly up to Dawson Creek for a week. I'm sure looking forward to it.

I hope you are all having a wonderful June. You must be pretty busy, because it has sure been quiet on the boards!

Cheers!

Abby

What started out a month or so ago as volunteering a couple of days per week has now become three days per.  I was asked whether I'd be interested in a full-time job but I politely declined.  I prefer to come and go as I please.

My autistic gray, Boo, is becoming more and more difficult to comprehend.  I've made no progress with her in nearly two years and am beginning to wonder whether she would be better off with someone who would "take the bull by the horns".  I hate to force issues with her but I hate to see her so unhappy, too.  I'm between a rock and a hard place.

My other gray and the little Senegal are as wonderful as ever.  So far, I feel that I can count on them to be normal and happy and active and loving and fun.
