Thank you, sweetie. We really have our share lately, don't we? Thanks for asking.
My brother is doing really well. He was able to go back to work with no restrictions and I THINK he is staying away from the booze. He just cannot drink with this heart problem or he might cause himself more injury. I think it has been good for his wife, too. They have had their share of problems (she drinks, too) but I think this shocked both of them into a change in lifestyle.
Unfortunately, my beloved nephew has left and will be going to Iraq. He is still here in the U. S. right now waiting to be sent. Now his brother has joined up and he will be leaving for basic training soon. It just makes me sick to think of these young boys going over there. Jesse is 21 and Jake will be 20 soon. Too young and innocent to be there.
My Mom is hanging in there. They never really figured out what the problem was. She has neuropathy and had a stroke a few years back so she has a hard time walking and her hands are becoming more and more crippled up. She is in a great deal of pain but the town where she lives has a pain clinic coming in and we are hoping they can help her out.
My mother-in-law had her stroke at the same time as my bro's surgery. I was so torn as to what to do but he came through fine and so we left and then she passed. It was quite a spring.....
Hugs to you, hun
Laurie
