Yes, I saw it and it was a  good movie, and a lot of fun.  It followed the book fairly closely.  Actually, it helps if you have read the book, as there's just not time in the movie to develop that complicated plot the way the book does.  Still, they do a credible job, and don't leave too much out.

You'll enjoy it I'm sure.

Went to see it at 3:40pm & there were mostly big kids there (they had it on 2 seperate screens/theatres & I think they were culling us when ticket was purchased, put the little kids in the other one,'cause I noticed a ton of vans from daycare places & I didn't see them in ours) a few little ones but not too bad, parents kept them under control, but the place was full. . . (some dork brought about a 3 yr. old! does she understand dementors? I don't think so!!! then they wonder why they have nightmares!!stupid ) I too, Metro, wanted to yell & hollar but everybody was pretty quite, so I behaved myself   . . .I love Harry & crew, & liked them better when they were little. . .but hey, everybody grows up,darn. . .I thought the movie was good, but could have been done better. Definetely need to read the book before going.  Since I have read it about 3 times. . .there was  a lot they assumed you knew.  I did not like the character for Moody!  Wasn't at all like the book!  Where was his eyeball? Anyway, it was a fun movie & will buy it on DVD. . .(my husband actually went with me! I know he didn't really want to go, &  I do go to movies  sometimes by myself. . .Congrats to him!) Magic Lizzy

Coming from me, those that know me well may find this comment strange, but I found the latest Harry Potter movie to be too dark, especially for young minds.

There were some light and funny moments, but if I'd wanted to see a horror movie, I would have waited for it to come out.  I have not read the book, and was expecting a movie still on the lighter side, more fairytalish so to speak.  I'm not into Demon type creatures in childrens stories.  They have plenty of time later on to find out about such things.

My older grandchildren went to see this latest Harry Potter adventure, and loved it.  So I guess I'm of the minority on this one lol.

Blessings
Maggie

No you're not. . .I thought it wasn't for children either. . .but then they are reading all her books, so who am I to say no. . .I didn't like the way this director did this movie. . could have been done way better, not so dark. . .I guess they figured since Harry & crew are growing up, so are the kids reading the books & seeing the movies. . .so it was done more for teenagers. . .forgetting that there are little kids just starting out on the series. . .Oh well, just my opinion. . .Magic Lizzy
