Just thought I would write a few words this afternoon prior to going out to vote, then get the tea, then I am off to the movies with Tracy, she asked me to go with her a couple of weeks ago, I said Yes, then what with one thing and another sort of forgot, she has just phoned and said she would be picking me up at five thirthy Still it is a film I want to see its called  "Nights in Rodanthe "with Richard Gere and Diane Lane in it.  Actually there is suddenly a couple of movies I would like to see, "Brideshead Reviited, "In Bruges" Now wouldn't you know it I will be out of action and miss them!!  Now as Tigs and Red can tell you I need to brush up on my movies.  I have a terrible score in the Daily Trivia with my points

Still  on the other hand what a fantastic friend I am to let other win

I rushed out this morning with my friend in Englands Birthday present as her Birthday is next week.  I did not realise that the Post Office now opens until lunch time now on a saturday.  Had trouble with my car keys, suddenly the atomatic button would not work.  Thats when I found out I needed a new battery.  I am never going to be any good at these mechanical things

Yvette I have tried to get onto that new site to look at it but can't do it.  When I say that  annann29 is my name then they say my password is wrong.  Then you have to be the leader of the group.   I think it said you have to be the leader of the group, which is you, so will you be joining for us then inviting us in?  Please, invite me in

Does sound weird Red not to like mashed potatoes, never heard of anyone not liking mashed potatoes
Still if Mike misses out on your cooking more fool him.  I'll have his share

Hope you have a happy Birthday Red on the 15th November.  I was hoping you would answer my 'E' mail  I sen't with my address on it to you with one from you with your address so I could send you a "special" Birthday card from New Zealand Did you get my 'E' mail?

Tigs could just do with some days in Malta, will fly over and join you.  Come on Girls lets all go  Wouldn't we have fun  Oh can you imagine Wac's face if we all turned up out of the blue

Bill and Jasmine went to the market this morning and amongst other things brought back some lovely strawberries.  They tasted so nice  obviously straight from the fields, not like the tastless ones at the supermarket.  It really is worth going to those outside market days the produce is so fresh and quite a bit cheaper than in the shops. The roses were also nice, Jasmine chose a pink bunch for me and yellow for Tracy.

The lady came this morning to measure up for the new net curtain that Lucy demolished.  As it is not straight across at the top but arched it is quite complicated to make, the woman said it will take about four to five weeks so should have it by Christmas.  And, yes the rips doshow from outside There must have been  a fly or something Lucy was trying to catch Lucy is now off my Christmas List

Will go and make a cup of tea now, then off to vote.
Enjoy your day ladies

Hi Ladies'
Oh dear Ann, I feel so bad about that mother losing a son. The worst kind of thing in life to deal with. I saw the mother of the boy Mathew that was killed in the accident today, while voting and amazingly she looked good. He was her youngest and the only one left living at home.
I'd love to see that movie with Richard Gere int it but will have to wait until it gets here on sky.
One of Kens friends mentioned that a friend of his told his mother, if she votes for labour again he's going to send her to a home. So Stan promptly rang his mother and said "If you vote for Winston Peter's I'll send you to a home". She's a lovely healthy lady though so no worries there.
I hate to think what type of book Tiffany would buy. You never know with her. But if Ken lost the bet he wanted Bill O'Reilly's new book Blah! I noticed when I went to my sister's in Australia the first time that they don't seem to know what's going on in the world like we do. They don't read papers or watch news, documentaries or anything. They're just to busy with their own life and don't seem to worry about anything else.
Ken caught my mother today. The minute I went out the door to the mailbox, she was up on her feet and off to get herself a peice of Quiche ( which she said she wouldn't like because it had brocolli in it, much to healthy for her). She leapt out of her chair, no wheels, nothing wrong with her knees at all. I know a lot of people her age and older that are amazing but she's like a ninety year old. She thought she was going to die last night. Yeh! I've heard it all before.
Tomorrow I'm taking her home and then I'm off with a friend to visit another friend who is a vegetarian and her food tastes good.
Loved your pictures and stories ladies. It's back to summer again today after a snowy week.

good morning,

 Love the pic Lilbabs, lol.

Yes Ann,  I agree about the produce, nothing like fresh from the fields, that is why I love the Farmers markets so much. Strawberries from the grocery are just not very good. They are picked while still green and kept at a temp to not allow them to sweeten a they redden. It takes the good ol sunshine to sweeten them.  Sometimes they are 10-12 WEEKS from picking to the store.  What a waste in my book. Same with oranges and apples as well.  Usually the bananas I buy are green and have to sit  a few days on the counter.  Then the bruising shows up from where they were abused as young bananas. I hate the way we have to shop for our food.  WIsh I could grow all my own. Then I would have to be vegan because I could not butcher an animal I raised, but I am OK with that.

I did NOT get your e mail with your adddy Ann, care to send it again, and I will send you my snail mail address.

I watch Bill O Reilly  sometimes at night in the wee hours when I am trying to fall asleep. I also like Bill Mahr.  Has he read the O'Reilly Factor?  Pretty intense book.  Most of my family turns off the news as well. I tend to listen to it in the background when I am computering or doing dishes. I watch the early news every day if I am awake. I may not know all the (presidents ) of all the countries,  but I try to keep up with who is fighting who, and where we are not welcome (which is almost everywhere)

Ken put in a new faucet in the kitchen (finally).  I love it, as it has a long neck and also a sprayer which I have missed so bad.  Now to get back my big ol deep farm sink I had.  He has to fix my rodeo today as well!!

Enjoy your films Ann,  enjoy your day visit with your friend Farmeress,  I am off to go shopping with Joe.

  bye for now
