Dear Ed --

Yes -- I would really appreciate a reading.  I recently became aware of some practiced deceit on the part of a family member, and whether done consciously or not, this has caused a great deal of pain to others -- and probably to one particular family member, in whose case it may have been most  cruel and selfish. .

I am not certain about this last, and I really do not wish get involved again in the family nor their 'fusses'.  About eighteen months ago I removed myself from the 'circle', and for a long time now my my life has been very peaceful and most happy.

But -- my Guardian Angel keeps bugging me to THINK about it.  She sometimes suggests actions to me, but this time she is leaving it totally up to me -- except she pesters me every night.  One night, recently she brought in my dead brother for an extended conversation.  (!)

So, I try to work this through in my head.  What do I owe this person?,-- particualrly since I am not completely sure about what has happened to her or to her awareness.  And, on such partial (if strong) evidence, do I really want to reopen old scars?

I hope this gives you enough to go on.   I think it really concerns this 'other victim' more than it does myself.  How much do I owe her?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

I will look at your chart in another day.

Hi Ed -

I have experienced some difficulty while working on your reading.  When I first examined your chart, no bells rang, and I seemed to see no hints that related to your question.

So, I tried a four card Tarot spread, using only the major arcane.  The first spread seemed so obviously related to my own problem, and not to yours, that I had to discard it.  Of course, it does happen (as perhaps you have also experienced) that a reading request puts the reader through some heavy (but over due) soul searching and realizations of their own.

Having said that, here is the next reading (tried the next day).  Not being certain that this is what you are seeking, I am only giving the first card, for your reaction.

First Key, The High Priestess.

In this reading this Key represents the powers of the subconscious mind, and primarily the function of memory.  This may be a hint to you, that your own memory records may contain your answer - if you dig deep enough.  On a higher level this Key suggests that you have the ability to contact the Cosmic Records .... (meaning the Divine Wisdom).

This Key also suggests I examine your Moon and its position in your chart.  Your Moon is in Cancer (as is your Sun).  You are very sensitive to the moods and feelings of others, and are also psychic.  This sensitivity may, however, cause you to imagine 'slights' or hurts where none were intended.  So, one thing you would have to sort out (relative to your question) would be to make sure you were not over-reacting to whatever questions you are now evaluating.
Your Venus is also in Cancer and in conjunction with your Moon.  Since Venus represents love and creativity, this enhances both your sensitivity and psychic ability.  But it also increases your sensitivity to 'slights' - real or imagined.  And since both your Moon and Venus are in the tenth house, this suggests you have been in the public eye, perhaps in a position of prominence, and that your status and reputation are important to you.  It also suggests you have excellent artistic abilities of some kind.

The conjunction of your Moon to Venus suggests a very affectionate nature, ease and diplomacy when dealing with others, and even more sensitivity to beauty and an ability to express this in one of the arts.  And since both your Moon and Venus are trine to Neptune this contact represents your deep psychic talents and  -- of course, enhances your artistic and creative abilities.

However, both your Moon and Venus are square to Jupiter, the Lord of Fortune, and this represents some excess in emotion - over generosity, and/or over reaction to family situations.  So, this tendency to 'over reaction' would have to be equated into your questions.  Are you really seeing the situation and the parts correctly?

There are three more Keys in your reading.  If this helps you, and is what you are looking for, I will be glad to continue.  The remaining Keys (and planets) deal with a) transformation and significant change; b) with the Peace and Understanding that comes through daily meditation and contemplation (probably your best approach to your question), and finally c) the Faith (and quiet confidence) that comes from a direct contact with your guides or with the Divine Mother.

Does this help you?  Shall I continue with the remaining cards?

blessings

So sorry that Iv' not been able to even start more that the tuning portion of your reading even still the strongest impressiuns I have is that the slight was unintetional, It was an overstatment of the need that is there, to those who have helped in the past.  It's of no suprise that this would spark appehention since you to have champion causes for this individual. This puts you in that state of mind where your waiting for the "other shoe to fall" you know well enuogh how to not tread where not needed and still keep the peace with family members.

reguarding your contiuance with the cards, please do the nature of the issues are long lasting and the more insight I can have the better the opportuniy to find an ambial path for both parties  Hope this helps you  &nd please continue with mine.

Thanks Ed --

That reading is really right on.  What really rang a bell was your saying:

This puts you in that state of mind where your waiting for the "other shoe to fall" you know well enuogh how to not tread where not needed and still keep the peace with family members.

And I realized I had already come to the same conclusion, but hadn't verbalized it (as yet) to myself.  Anyway, I feel quite peaceful today ... and able to keep my own peace while wishing the best for the others.

Thanks again.

I will continue with your reading tomorrow.

Hi Lagaz -

According to don Juan, the Shamans of ancient Mexico saw energy directly.  This appeared to them as filaments of light.  These are what our everyday senses then process into clumps of data, data that our brains will interpret and form into recognizable images.  But, by seeing energy directly, the Shamans bypassed this process and were able to perceive the WILL of the Cosmic Energy.  By this act, then, the shamans were thrn able to Live in Infinity.  - (a paraphrase from Castaneda)

Key 20, Judgment, represents Pluto and the energy that breaks down old forms.  This can be a very disruptive force.  But coming (in your  reading) right after the High Priestess, and itself being followed by a card that represents Revelation, we must relate this Key to the Direct Experience of the Energy of the Cosmas, and thus interpret it in relaltion to the Spiritual (infinite) Planes.

It is important to realize, as I am sure you do, that we are talking about a process that takes years - possibly an entire lifetime, to unfold.  This was Castaneda experience, and like him, you have no doubt had flashes that we may call 'enlightenment',but in fact are no more than intimations of the future.  Or, at least, this is my understanding of the teachings.

In other words: this reading and your chart both suggest that -whatever process of evaluation you may THINK you are enjoying, in this reading we should try to look at a still deeper level and see you as part of a Cosmic process, one leading to further evolution,.

In astrology the Plutonian forces are said break down old ways of thinking, old ways of acting and even old ways of perceiving ourselves and others.  We are DYING to our old ways, so it is important to remember two things: first, the forms that are destroyed are the old way our brains processed data; second, 'dying to the old man' only means the old 'form' - as you imagined as your own identity.  'Re-birth', then, simply makes room for a new 'form' -- and one which fits a higher reality.  This is my understanding.

And on this all systems, Shamanism, Qabalah, Yoga and even Buddhism seem to agree.

Your Pluto and Uranus

Your chart does seem to provide many hints concerning your personal evolution.  Both Uranus and Pluto were in Virgo when you were born.  These planets move slowly so this position existed for a whole generation of people.  It suggests, however, new ideas (Uranus) and approaches to health, to work and to technology (Virgo). and a revolution in the making for mankind (Pluto).

Further, their conjunction in the heavens - while indicating a real revolution, lasted for several years and thus affected many people - of your generation.   It is only the positions of these planets in your twelfth house that is personal, -- along with their aspects to other, faster moving planets.
Uranus and Pluto in the Twelfth House.

Here we see your interest in the Occult and youdr highly developed psychic and clairvoyant (Uranus) abilities.  Pluto represents the same, so this is like a 'double whammy' - and since it is the twelfth house of the past, it is the old outworn (and family) traditions - buried deeply in your subconsciousness, that you must bring to the surface for examination.  At least that is the teachings.  And again, we are reminded, that these old 'traditions' are themselves no more than 'forms' in the mind.

And, as we both know, preoccupation with our own personal problems only reinforces your old, limited, sense of 'self'.

The spiritual systems, such as the Hindu Vedanta, the Qabalah, and Buddhism, will tell you that THE FINAL STEPS IN THE PLUTONIAN PROCESS ARE ALWAYS THE RESULT OF SPECIFIC TRAINING.  Such training requires years of concentrated work, such as the effort expended by Castaneda - and (perhaps) this may be one of the decisions you are now examining.  .

Aspects of Pluto

What really caught my attention in your chart (and as this reading unfolded) was my realization that I had needed to examine the angular aspects that Pluto formed with the other planets in your chart.

Your Pluto is sextile to both the Moon and Neptune, and the Moon is trine to Neptune.  The trine I covered in the previous post, but the sextiles form one end of a KITE.  In the Dane Rudhyar tradition, this configuration was considered this to be most spiritual; the reasons are fairly obvious and will be taken up in our next post.

What is missing from your Kite is its tail; there is no planet in Pisces.  But, (and as we shall see in the next post), THE SOLUTION ALREADY SEEMS PREORDAINED, at least in your chart.

shantana

p.s.  These factors are the same ones I need to review in my own life.  And while my chart does differ from yours, one has to admire Life's sense of humor.

Hi Lagaz --

This post will complete my comments on Pluto and on Transformation; this is all related to the second card in your initial Tarot reading.  This part will be rather 'skeletal' -- because to go into it any deeper becomes just too technical.  I am sure, however, you will have no problem on grasping these points; I just hope I do not put you asleep.

First: Establishing One's Center.

This illustration is based on discussions on the Cosmos taken from the Katho-upanishad.  The Above here is dark (night) because it is unknown.  Proto-man will be at the center, and will be balancing both the Above and Below, and the pairs of opposites (right and left).

The Hindu system sees most humans as living in a false self ... the 'little ego'.  Here, even if we are on a spiritual trip, our efforts at 'balancing' are handicapped, simply because we do not have access to True Wisdom from Above.

Now that we know what we are talking about, the Chi Rho symbol (of the Christos) and the symbol of the cross make a lot of sense.  The X centers the true self within the circle of the Cosmos.

Second: the Kite Pattern as a Cross

So you do not need to be an astrologer to recognize the Kite configuration as a Cross.  Yours is missing the horizontal line -- but pretending (for the moment) it was there, Pluto (transformation) is in the twelfth house of the past, clearing out old patterns and conditioning that hold us all back in our evolution.

The Moon and Neptune form the upright, and is called a midpoint line.   The beauty of this configuration is this: the tension between Pluto and (?) is harmoniously released by the Moon sextile to Pluto and trine to (?).  And, Neptune performs the exact same release.  How can one miss by having TWO releases that are mirror images?

Further, your Moon in the Above provides 'connectedness' to the material world below; and Neptune, below, provides spiritual intuitions.

Third: Your Jupiter and Saturn and Your Kite

Your Jupiter and your Saturn are separated by a sextile, and are EXACTLY centered about the missing planet -- the (?).  Further, both Saturn and Jupiter have a rare Triseptile angular relationship to the Ascendant.  These orbs are so tight, within one degree that it becomes obvious that the pair is acting as your missing planet in Pisces -- especially since Pluto is within 10 degrees of the ascendant.  I shall cover the meaning of Jupiter and Saturn in my next post, because they tie to the third key in your Tarot reading, which was Revelation.

shantana

p.s.  So -- you are WORKING on making a KITE.  Does that make sense to you?

Hi Lagaz-

The third card in your original reading was Key 17, The Star.

This card represents Revelation, and specifically, in your reading, the type of Revelation that comes from the repetitive cycles of your active participation in the Life Powers process of Creation.  By 'repetitive' is meant the yearly cycle of the Sun through the twelve signs of the Zodiac.  In other words: you discover a discipline, and a goal, and this gives you your direction during each yearly cycle.

When the Hindus tells us that Vishnu 'meditates' the World into Being, we see that Creation is not some 'Big Bang' sort of phenomena; creation is an on-going process where forms are born, grow and then die.  And that is the teachings as I understand them.  Each year, then, you grow in understanding and begin to 'see' how reality really works.

There may be flashes of 'insight', but - and as the  Shaman, Don Juan told Castanenda, at some point the Hunter learns how to 'stop the world'.  At that point we (you) have disassembled the cognitive process by which you (and all others) have created a false world.  From then on you will see IT exactly as it is.  And that (they tell me) is Revelation!

And a part of this process, and one which we have already covered, is learning to balance the seven cakras, the seven planets of the ancient world, shown (in Key 17) as the seven smaller stars.  The KITE, formation, which we covered at such (boring) length, is the BALANCED STRUCTURE which will assist you in this process.
REVELATION

Revelation, for most of us, begins as momentary flashes of insight.  Collectively, at some time, these become a continuing experience of Nirvana or Samadhi.  Our 'flashes' often y  follow some calamity in the outer world, or some profound spiritual insight, which serves to suddenly awaken us.

Such experiences are represented by the Tower Key (#16), and this Tarot Key represents the planet Mars.  In your chart Mars has been replaced by Pluto; Pluto is the co-ruler (with Mars) of Scorpio.  And, in turning our investigation to Pluto we must also remember that Key 17 represents Aquarius, the coming age of brotherhood, and that Aquarius is ruled by Uranus (yours is conjunct your Pluto) and Saturn, which (with Jupiter) forms the tail of your Kite.

(Complicated, no?)

We are now ready to examine the yearly cycles of your existence, in reference to Key 17.

The Yearly Sequence

Each year, beginning in the SUMMER, the transiting Sun in its yearly cycle approaches the position of your natal Moon in Cancer.  At this time it is also in orb for the trine to Neptune, and thus 'energizes' the upright arm of the Moon/Neptune portion of your Kite.

At the same time, the transiting Sun is sextile to Pluto, and makes a harmonious 'energization' of this center.  And you yourself can now use the Year Clock to follow the course of the Sun (counter-clockwise) as it moves through the four seasons.

Your 'year' ends, then, in midwinter when T. Sun contacts Saturn -in Aquarius.  For the Ancients, Saturn ruled Aquarius, and it is the focus that this planet provides which suggests this is a time of 'summing up' - a yearly moment of Revelation.

We also note that, back in the Fall (and just before T. Sun contacted Pluto it first contacted Uranus - the co-ruler of Aquarius.

Triseptile to Ascendant

The Triseptile (150 degrees) of Saturn to the Ascendant is fairly rare, but represents (in the words of M. Meyer) 'Cooperation with a collective or Cosmic need'.  It represents a serious focus and ability to stick with your principles.  And since the aspect is to the Ascendant and not to a planet, this is a process that can only unfold (gradually) in time.

In the spring, then, Natal Jupiter is contacted by T. Sun, and here we have another Triseptile which  suggest you start each year with an optimistic and generous attitude.  Again, there are no aspects to the other end of your kite, BUT -Jupiter is exalted in Cancer, and your Moon rules the sign in which it is placed.

So - although there are no direct aspect lines between Jupiter and Saturn (representing the tail of your Kite, there are very real 'connections' which you will be able to establish in Time.

An last, but not least, when T. Sun contacts Pluto, it is also sextile to Neptune in Scorpio, and Pluto RULES Scorpio. (!!!!)

(I am afraid this all might seem very abstruse, but (obviously) Life expects you to meditate upon this for some time.  Why else were you given Key 17 in the original reading?  And why am I frying my brain trying to figure it out)?  (lol)

shantana   -

Next: the last card ... and this last post will be a VERY short summary.

Final Card, and End of Reading

Hi Lagaz -

Your final Taort Key was number 11, Justice, and it continues to amaze me (after all of these years of doing readings)  how precisely and exactly RIGHT ON these keys are, even BEFORE we look at the chart!  How can these cards  know what the chart will say?

Key 11, then, although dealt out before we erected your chart, truly summarizes all that has been said about your chart and your Kite.

                                                                                         KEY 11 JUSTICE

Key 11 in the Tarot represents the sign of Libra in astrology, a sign which is completely involved in balancing relationships and establishing equilibrium: this is exactly what our discussion of the KITE was all about.   Further, Saturn (the co-ruler of Aquarius) - and which plays such an important role in the tail of your Kite, is exalted in the sign of Libra.  So - the intimation from this tarot reading is that (eventually) you will succeed in balancing the pairs of opposies in your life.

The Hebrew letter assigned to this Tarot Key is Lamed (L), and means 'Ox-goad', symbolizing action, control and direction.  In the East this same concept is called Karma  and the Masters tells us that we are all engaged in 'working out our Karma' until we escape from the Wheel of Becoming.
In all systems, escape means to 'balance the pairs of opposites' (the action symbolized by the Cross).  And, by raising our consciousness to the Center, we become a new person ('reborn).  This is my understanding of the teachings.

The Role of Saturn

Venus rules Libra and the role of Saturn is to make sure the creative images from Venus are always pointed in the same direction.  The mental images we form in our imaginations are turned into definite and creative results.  The results, then, of your yearly cycles of growth means you have learned to balance your actions.    This key also represents Faith .. the Faith you develop from positive results that you achieve along your Path.  These are your proof that you really understand the Principles of the Life Power.

In Summary

Your own mental and emotional stability, plus your demonstrated concern for the needs of others, are the best indicators of your having achieved the desired equilibrium.  And the fact that this card follows the others, closing the reading, suggests success in your own path of evolution and growth.

Blessings -

Shantana
