Hi. I was wondering if anyone can help me in finding the right type of meditative technique. I have problems meditating and I find it difficult to visualize anything in my mind. I'm a writer (albeit an amateur) and I have a constant flow of words and phrases forming in my mind... it's all jumbled. It makes it difficult to focus. Can anyone assist me? AngelsLight |

Hi Angels, Have you tried candle gazing? Just darken the room, light a candle and stare at the flame. This helped me greatly when I started meditations. I still use it frequently. I also have trouble visualizing. I'm beginning to think this inability is not so uncommon - lol. I do get 'feelings' of things, if you understand that, and now sometimes these feelings take on a shape. Not a clear picture, like a photo, but kind of shadowy shapes. I've also used a meditation CD after I got the hang with candle gazing. I hope this helps you. Peace & Love |

There are many ways of meditating... some focus on a burning candle others
follow there breaths. You can use mantra"s...Sometimes people need things to get
them ready for meidation such as soft music, incense. Others go out into nature.
There are also many books out there on this subject. With many diffenrent
approaches. You just need to find the right one for you.
